CLASSICAL AYURVEDIC PURIFICATION & REJUVENATION

Panchakarma & Detoxification

Panchakarma, meaning “five actions” in Sanskrit, is a cornerstone of classical Ayurveda. It is a personalized system of therapeutic purification and rejuvenation designed to support the elimination of accumulated imbalances, restore dosha equilibrium, and promote inner harmony.

What is Panchakarma

The Five Classical Procedures

The Five Classical Panchakarma treatment Procedures

Panchakarma comprises five principal therapeutic procedures. The appropriate procedure is selected only after individual assessment and may vary according to constitution, dosha involvement, strength, season, and clinical indication.

01. Vamana

Therapeutic Emesis

Vamana is a supervised therapeutic emesis procedure traditionally used when indicated for the management of aggravated Kapha. It follows appropriate preparatory measures and is performed under professional supervision.

02. Virechana

Therapeutic Purgation

Virechana is a controlled therapeutic purgation procedure traditionally associated with the elimination of aggravated Pitta. Appropriate medicines and the treatment protocol are selected according to individual assessment.

03. Basti

Medicated Enema Therapy

Basti involves the administration of appropriately selected medicated oils or herbal preparations through the prescribed route. It holds a central place in classical Ayurveda, particularly in the management of Vata-related conditions.

04. Nasya

Nasal Administration

Nasya involves the administration of appropriately selected medicated oils, liquids, or herbal preparations through the nasal route. It is traditionally used for conditions involving the head, neck, and upper regions of the body.

05. Raktamokshana

Therapeutic Bloodletting

Raktamokshana is a classical bloodletting procedure used only in appropriately selected indications and under qualified professional supervision. It has a traditional role in certain Rakta-related and localized conditions.

STRUCTURED THERAPEUTIC PROCESS

How Panchakarma Is Performed

Panchakarma treatment in Jaipur is not a one-size-fits-all detox procedure. Classical Panchakarma is planned in stages, with appropriate preparation before the principal procedure and supportive care afterward.

01. Poorva Karma

Preparation

The preparatory phase may include Deepana, Pachana, Snehana, and Swedana, according to the individual’s needs. These measures prepare the body for the principal procedure.

02. Pradhana Karma

Main Panchakarma Procedure

After appropriate preparation, the selected principal procedure—such as Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, or Raktamokshana—is carried out according to the individual treatment plan and under professional supervision.

03. Paschat Karma

Post-Treatment Care & Rejuvenation

The recovery phase focuses on appropriate diet, lifestyle, gradual restoration of digestive strength, rest, and other supportive measures. Where appropriate, rejuvenative or Rasayana approaches may be incorporated.

Assessment → Preparation → Principal Therapy → Recovery & Rejuvenation
